STORM CLEANUP DAYS | BY APPOINTMENT ONLYFollowing Mayor Armstrong’s Local Emergency Proclamation related to the recent storm, the Town of Chino Valley will be offering Storm Cleanup Days by appointment only from:Monday, August 31 through Wednesday, September 2To support local organizations assisting with recovery efforts, as well as residents directly impacted by the storm, this service is intended specifically for storm-related debris, such as downed tree branches and other qualifying materials. Please call Public Works at 928-636-7140 to discuss what you need to dispose of, confirm that it qualifies for this service, and schedule a drop-off time.Appointments are required.Please stay tuned for an additional cleanup opportunity in the coming weeks that will be more widely available to the public and will accommodate larger items.Thank you for your patience as Town crews continue cleanup and recovery efforts throughout the community. ...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2nd Annual Yavapai County Preparedness Expo Returns to Cliff Castle Casino October 9, 2026 Free community event focuses on preparedness, response resources and local resilience YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — The Yavapai County Community Organizations Active in Disaster (YCCOAD) will host the 2nd Annual Yavapai County Preparedness Expo on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cliff Castle Casino Hotel in Camp Verde, Arizona. Admission is free. The 2026 Yavapai County Preparedness Expo is a free community event bringing together emergency responders, community organizations, preparedness partners, and members of the public to connect with resources on disaster readiness that are available before, during, and after an emergency. Yavapai County regularly experiences hazards, including wildfires and flooding, and preparedness for these events will be among the important themes covered during the event. The Preparedness Expo is presented by the Yavapai County Community Organizations Active in Disaster (YCCOAD) in conjunction with the Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management and with participation from community preparedness, response, and recovery partners. ABOUT YCCOAD YCCOAD is made up of a broad network of organizations and agencies that support disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and community resilience throughout Yavapai County. Its membership includes local disaster relief partners, nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations, volunteer organizations, community health and medical resources, emergency management agencies, local fire service partners, law enforcement partners, animal response and sheltering organizations, communications and radio groups, independent living and access-and-functional-needs advocates, long-term recovery partners, municipal and county agencies, faith-based organizations, and state partners including the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs. This event will include a variety of information and opportunities for the public to learn more about their local resources and is strongly encouraged to attend and learn how individuals, families, businesses, and communities can be better prepared before an emergency or disaster occurs.
