The Yavapai County COAD is a humanitarian association of independent community organizations (e.g., businesses/private sector, faith-based, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and government agencies) who may be activated in all phases of a disaster.

Its mission is to foster efficient, streamlined service delivery to people affected by a disaster, while eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort through cooperation, coordination, communication, and collaboration in the four phases of disaster: preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

The Yavapai County COAD will support its mission through education, leadership development, mitigation and preparedness, outreach, and convening mechanisms.

The Yavapai County COAD is a coordinating organization and will not assume direct operational responsibility in any disaster situation.
